Catechesis = Work of Mercy

"For one reason or another, whether through anti-Catholic prejudice or a lamentable disorientation and neglect, great masses of young Catholics are raching adolescence totally ignorant of the most basic notions of the faith and the elementary practices of piety. Nowadays, to instruct the ignorant means above all to "evangelize" them, that is, to speak to them about God and the Christian life. Catechesis has become nowadays a work of mercy of prime importance."
