Keep your eyes fixed on Christ

Keep your eyes fixed on Christ. When the waves turn on their highest setting, you are being crashed around, and are trying to keep your head at the surface, keep your eyes fixed on Christ. Never take your eyes off of Him. When other people cross in front of you or force you to adapt your approach and take an alternate route, keep your eyes fixed on Christ. Never take your eyes off of Him. When there are people splashing all around you and you are easily distracted, keep your eyes fixed on Christ. Never take your eyes off of Him.

This message has been brought to you by a ten hour day at a wave pool practicing lifeguarding skills followed by evening Mass. Obviously not a perfect analogy because Jesus is the one who's going to be rescuing me, not me rescuing Him. But I think you get my point. If this doesn't make sense, I blame the chlorine "overdose".
